DOCFS once again hosted a beautiful ceremony on the Rufus Prince lawn at Keeshkeemaquah celebrating the accomplishments of our six students at the completion of their flight training. A proud group of about 80 friends and family joined together to commemorate the hard work and perseverance of our 2022 graduates. The young people were given one more opportunity to build their confidence by sharing with the audience about their experience and thanking those who helped support them along the way.
DOCFS presented each graduate with an honorarium and a personalized sweatshirt, and EWFS awarded a Certificate of Achievement, an ‘Eagle Wings’ patch, and their Pilot Training Record. Honoured guests included DOCFS Chair and Chief Don Smoke of Dakota Plains First Nation, elder Josephine Longclaws of Long Plain First Nation, and Jason Parenteau who encouraged students with a song.
Way to go GRADUATES!
