Eagle’s Wings Flight School is a non-profit organization that is committed to helping at-risk youth find their passion and chart a pathway to success in early adulthood and beyond. Flying training is a unique opportunity and a window into an industry with a need for professionals of all types for many years to come. By training youth to fly, an activity and a career that they never would have thought possible, their perception of themselves, their strengths, and their capabilities will be transformed.

The EWFS team is passionate about equipping and mentoring youth and our volunteer instructors are excited to share their love of aviation with students. EWFS has had four successful years of operation flying an advanced ultralight aircraft out of Southport Airport in Portage la Prairie, MB. The 2023 class consisted of 7 Indigenous students ages 15-18 representing five First Nations from Southern Manitoba.

Using an ultralight aircraft for training allows EWFS to offer the same entry-level instruction that would be taught on a larger airplane but at a reduced cost. Each student’s sponsor group will be responsible for tuition fees. Any corporation, private citizen, or government agency that shares our vision of inspiring hope and increasing opportunities in the lives of young people would be welcome partners in Eagle’s Wings Flight School. .
